June started with a lovely meal at the Rampant horse, 8 members attended and enjoyed a fab pub lunch followed with coffee, thank you Shirley for organizing the ladies at lunch event. Next was the annual garden party held in one of our committee members gardens, great food great company and a great time! Congratulations to Linda who won the best decorated plant pot, Linda used one of the crafts she learnt in one of our dabble days to create her beautiful entry.
April has been a busy month! we held our second lunch club, members met at the Angel restaurant in Needham market, Suffolk we had a wonderful time over a lovely meal. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us so well, In April Creeting St Mary WI also celebrated our 77th birthday we celebrated by having afternoon tea at Roots and Shoots, Suffolk where members enjoyed cake scones sandwiches and tea, thank you to Rosie and her team for providing outstand service, mid-April we held our second dabble day, where our guest crafter Debbie shared the craft of napkin art, all members thoroughly enjoyed making their notebook covers, something we had never tried!
The guest speaker in February was Anne Reader who presented a fascinating presentation on the history of millinery. This included plenty of participation and interaction, especially the trying on of all the beautiful hats and headwear that Anne had brought along.
